Understanding owner profiles, reviews, and trust signals
Learn what verification, rental history, response time, and reviews can—and cannot—tell you about an owner.
Quick answer
Use profile signals together: confirm identity verification, consider completed-rental history and response patterns, and read recent reviews for specific experience—not as a guarantee.
Read “Trust at a glance”
- Identity verified means the owner has completed Nerbor’s current identity-check requirement. It does not guarantee item condition or a particular rental outcome.
- Completed rentals count bookings that reached completion on Nerbor and can provide useful context about marketplace experience.
- Response time summarizes how long the owner has taken to answer renter messages. Nerbor shows an estimate only after enough activity is available.
How owner reviews work
After an eligible completed rental, the renter can review the owner and the item, while the owner can review the renter. Reviews must come from a real booking participant.
Participant reviews are published after both sides submit or when the 14-day review window closes. This prevents one person from changing a review in response to seeing the other person’s rating.
Reviews describe individual experiences
A rating is useful context, not a promise. Read the written details and consider how recent the review is, how many reviews exist, and whether the comments relate to your planned rental.
Evaluate the full profile
- 1
Review the listing
Check current photos, item condition, included accessories, safety information, price, and availability.
- 2
Read recent feedback
Look for specific comments about communication, reliability, handoff, and whether the item matched the listing.
- 3
Ask before booking
Use Nerbor Messages to clarify operating requirements, pickup or delivery details, and anything not covered by the listing.
Keep the rental protected
- Keep payment, scheduling, and important communication on Nerbor.
- Inspect the item at pickup and add clear condition photos to the booking evidence workspace.
- Do not use an item that appears damaged, defective, or unsafe.
- Report concerning listings, messages, profiles, or reviews through the available Nerbor reporting tools.
