Requesting and managing a booking
What renters and owners can expect from request through approval and changes.
Quick answer
A renter requests available dates, the owner responds within 24 hours, and both parties manage approved plans from the booking.
Send a booking request
- 1
Choose available dates
Select a start and end time from the listing calendar.
- 2
Review the checkout breakdown
Confirm rental charges, delivery, taxes, service fee, and the security deposit shown before payment.
- 3
Submit the request
The booking enters Pending owner approval while the owner reviews it.
How owners respond
Owners have 24 hours to approve or decline. Before approving, review the requested period, handoff method, renter information, and whether the item can be ready on time.
If the owner declines or does not respond within the window, the booking is cancelled and the renter receives the applicable full refund.
After approval
- Private handoff details become available according to the booking’s visibility rules.
- Use Messages to coordinate pickup or delivery without moving payment off-platform.
- Review condition-photo windows and available booking actions before the rental.
Change your plans
An active booking may offer an extension request. The owner approves or declines the new end time, and any added charge is shown before the change is confirmed.
If you need to cancel before the rental begins, review the exact refund estimate in the booking before confirming.
Messages do not change the booking
A date, extension, or cancellation is official only after the corresponding booking action is completed in Nerbor.
